Throughout the years, whenever I would notice David Chase in the writing credits for a Sopranos episode, I knew that I was in for a great episode, and this one is no exception. This episode marks the first time that John Patterson would direct a Sopranos season finale. He would continue to direct each season finale of The Sopranos up until the 5th season (Episode 65 – “All Due Respect”).

Episode 12 ushers us right into the middle of Mariolina Capuano’s funeral. We aren’t told much about her, besides the fact that she’s the first woman to give Junior Soprano a handjob.

Episode 3 of the Sopranos starts out with the intro we’ve gotten used to: we see the HBO title and then it goes straight into the theme song, credits and the views of Tony Soprano driving the NJ Turnpike and North Jersey.
